When pulled back, the blind will be stacked at the side of your window. Your advisor can recommend ways to minimise this

The wide vertical slats might fill your windowsills. Venetian blinds or Wooden blinds may give you more space

Even with dim-out fabrics, some light may leak from between the louvres. For a better blackout effect, try pairing with curtains
